I’ve lost and kept off 80lbs over the past 9 years. My autoimmune disease made me lose weight dramatically during 2016, which made me look skeletal (but with lots of looser skin). My mother couldn’t look at me without crying because I looked on the verge of death. A majority of my loose skin is from that illness that attacked my body so horribly. I’ve had so many surgeries and procedures to try getting healthy; eye surgery, mass removals, organ removals and biopsies, but nothing ever helped for long. This is the first time I did something for ME. A lot of people didn’t agree with my choice to go through with this, but I knew it was now or never. If my body could survive the horrors it went through for years, it could handle a tummy tuck and breast augmentation. It hurts, I’m in pain, but I’m really proud of myself for making this choice.
